Under the stadium lights on Friday night, Oct. 16, Lamar High School (LHS) turned its Senior Night festivities into a celebration of school pride, honoring a new group of student leaders during the game against North Central.
The highlight of the evening came when Zye Asia Douglas and D.Q. Green were crowned Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King. The two were joined on the field by LHS Assistant Principal Susan Lear and Principal William Leonard as the crowd cheered.
The night also brought the crowning of the school’s 2026 Silver Fox titleholders. Ryley Nichols was named Miss Silver Fox, and Nigerion Quillen was named Mr. Silver Fox.
In keeping with tradition, the new winners were accompanied on the field by the previous year’s honorees, 2025 Miss Silver Fox Mallory Bullard and 2025 Mr. Silver Fox Tucker Watford, a symbolic passing of the torch between classes.
With seniors recognized, royalty crowned, and the community gathered in the stands, the evening was a memorable tribute to Lamar High’s students and the traditions that bring the Silver Foxes together.
