Lady Red Foxes roll remain undefeated after dominant victory

The Hartsville Lady Red Foxes continued their impressive start to the volleyball season last Thursday night, August delivering another dominant performance as they swept the Georgetown Bulldogs, 3-0, to keep their undefeated record intact.
Hartsville wasted little time taking control of the match, setting the tone from the opening serve and never allowing Georgetown to find a rhythm. The Red Foxes cruised to a convincing 25-7 victory in the opening set, showcasing strong serving, aggressive play at the net, and excellent teamwork throughout the set.
The Bulldogs battled back in the second set, but Hartsville remained firmly in command. The Red Foxes pulled away late to claim the set 25-16, putting themselves just one set away from another straight-set victory.
Hartsville closed out the match in impressive fashion. The Red Foxes jumped out to another early lead in the third set and continued to apply pressure, eventually sealing the sweep with a 25-12 win.
With the 3-0 victory, Hartsville improved to an outstanding 12-0-1 on the season. The Red Foxes have established themselves as one of the area’s top teams and continue to build momentum as they approach the heart of their schedule.
For Georgetown, Thursday’s loss dropped the Bulldogs to 1-5 on the season. The Bulldogs have faced a difficult stretch, dropping 11 of their last 12 matches, but will have an opportunity to regroup when they return to the court next week.
The Red Foxes, meanwhile, are about to enter an important new chapter of their season.
After some extra time off, Hartsville will host Aynor at 7 p.m. Thursday in a matchup that will mark the Red Foxes’ first taste of in-conference action this season. With Hartsville entering the match at 12-0-1, the contest promises to be an exciting test as the Red Foxes look to carry their undefeated momentum into conference play.
The Bulldogs will also be back in action next week, traveling to take on Johnsonville at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
For Hartsville, the message is simple: the Red Foxes are rolling, and with conference play finally here, the intensity is only about to increase.
