Kilgo announces bid for 2nd term on Darlington County Council

Bobby Kilgo announced Thursday, January 28th that he will seek a second term on the Darlington County Council. He was elected in 2012 on a platform of bringing more jobs to the county and keeping our young people living and working in the county.

Since his election, the county has opened a certified industrial park, Birdsong Peanuts has located on the Darlington Bypass, Walmart is building a Supercenter in Darlington, and SONOCO opened its IPS Studio. Kilgo said,” We need to continue improve our industrial climate. This includes agri-business which has become a larger part of it. With all of our citizens working together we can improve the living and working conditions in the county.”

Kilgo is a lifelong resident of the county and has practiced law for forty years. He is married to the former Sue Reynolds and they have five children and seven grandchildren. Kilgo will be running in the Republican Primary in June.
