JoAnn Buie Stephens McKnight,85, of Darlington went home to the Lord on Monday June 19, 2023. Visitation will be at Belk Funeral Home on Thursday June 22, from 6 to 8pm and other times at the home of Susan Holladay. Funeral services will be Friday June 23, at 11am in the Belk Funeral Home Chapel with Internment following at Grove Hill.
She was born to Capers Wesley and Maude Ethel Fields Buie on May 21, 1938. She was a nurse working at Darlington and Florence Hospitals and retired Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed puzzles, she loved animals, scrapbooking and was a Master Gardener. She was also a member of Temple Freewill Baptist Church.
JoAnn is survived by her son Alex(Sharon) Stephens of Darlington along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her daughter Rose Ann Stephens, daughter in law Dinkie G. Stephens, and great grandson Ethan Harrell.
