Hostage situation ends peacefully
A hostage situation Friday, involving a child, ended peacefully, officials said. After about three hours of negotiations, a man allegedly holding the child at Blackwell Circle in Darlington County surrendered without violence, according to Darlington County Sheriff James Hudson. The incident began when the man argued with the mother of the 1-year-old child, officials said. The man, whose name was not immediately available, will face charges, officials said.
