Natalie Zeigler, Hartsville’s City Manager, shared the following announcement for a warming shelter in Hartsville at Second Baptist Church:

Second Baptist Church, located at 212 W. Washington St., has graciously opened their doors for those in need of shelter from the cold and/or possible fire victims. Remember, this is a local church serving and caring for our fellow residents. The local office of the American Red Cross is making an emergency delivery of needed items, but they still need our help for the nights to come.

They are in desperate need of the following items:

• Toilet Paper
• Paper Towels
• Tissues
• Personal hygiene products
• Cots
• Blankets
• Snacks
• Any types of foods

Someone will be on hand at the church for ANY items that you are able to donate.

Please contact the News & Press if there are other warming shelters or needs for donations to help our friends and neighbors stay warm in this cold weather! Our office number is: 843-393-3811, email: editor@newsandpress.net or cell: 843-639-0363.
