Hartsville woman dies in an automobile collision
Sobie Soles Dixon, 53, of Hartsville died Saturday night, January 31st, when the vehicle she was driving left the roadway and overturned. The single car incident occurred on Lakeview Boulevard at around 10:00 p.m. Ms. Dixon was the only person in the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.

Ms. Dixon was well known in Darlington County for her community involvement and worked for many years with Agape Hospice in Hartsville, and served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce.
“She was a dear friend to many, including the Coroner,” stated Hardee in his press release.
Dixon leaves two sons, Rion and Preston, and her parents, Smitty and Katherine “Kat” Soles of Hartsville.
