Hartsville Area Recreation Department hosts summer camps for kids
Each year, the Hartsville Area Recreation Department hosts instructional camps at the T.B. Thomas Sports Center to help kids develop their athletic and artistic talents. Last week, Coach Billy Smith and the Hartsville High School Volleyball team worked with kids 8 to 14 to help them sharpen up their game for the fall sports season. Off the court, art teacher Eric Brown broke out the pastels and crayons to help kids 8 to 12 learn the basics of design, color blending, and tinting as they made custom pencil holders – just in time for the new school year.
