Fatal collision in Lamar claims lives of two men
An early morning vehicle collision around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10 claimed the life of two men. Wayne Feagan, 52, of Timmonsville and Creed Childress, 48, of Knoxville, TN were both pronounced dead at the scene by Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee when both vehicles collided with one another at the intersection of Highway 401 and Lynches River Road just outside of Lamar.
This incident remains under investigation by the Darlington County Coroners office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT Team.
