Deputy graduates Criminal Justice Academy

Columbia, SC – Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputy Treyvon Sellers successfully completed the South Carolina
Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia on June 16. Deputy Sellers was the first uncertified deputy hired by Sheriff Tony Chavis and was sworn in February 1st.

Deputy Sellers is currently in the South Carolina National Guard and previously served as a correctional officer at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.

“I am truly proud of Deputy Sellers’ accomplishments, and I am thankful for the support his family gave him during his 12 weeks of training,” stated Sheriff Tony Chavis. “I look forward to seeing this young man grow as he continues to serve his community.”

Deputy Sellers is assigned to the Patrol Division under the command of Lt. Mike Hall. He will begin his Field Training on June 19.
