Deputies arrest woman who spit on parole agent
A Hartsville woman was charged with assaulting a police officer while resisting arrest, driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly spat on the face and vest of a state Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services agent who was assisting Darlington County deputies.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop around the 800 block of F Street near Hartsville at 7 p.m. Friday. Deputies discovered the female driver had a suspended license. While they attempted to take her into custody, she spat on the parole agent, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Ju’Quesha Ta’Sha Bishop, 23, of Hartsville, was taken into custody, the release said. Bishop appeared before a Darlington County magistrate and was released on a $27,000 bond. Bishop is currently serving a two-year probation sentence for assault and battery, first degree.
