Darlington Raceway to host Laps for Charity this Saturday

Darlington Raceway will host Track Laps for Charity on Saturday, March 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in partnership with the Child and Family Resource Foundation. Track Laps for Charity provide fans the chance to drive their personal vehicles around the track Too Tough to Tame for a donation of $25. All proceeds will benefit Darlington Shares and the Child and Family Resource Foundation.

“It’s always an honor to host Track Laps for Charity and give fans the opportunity to drive around our historic racetrack while supporting a great cause,” said Darlington Raceway President Josh Harris. “We’re especially proud to put on one of the most unique events within the Pee Dee community to help out the Child and Family Resource Foundation.”

This will be the first of four Track Laps for Charity events at Darlington Raceway in 2024. Through strong local relationships and partnerships with organizations across the state of South Carolina, Darlington Shares gives back to groups making a positive impact in the Pee Dee region.

When arriving on property, fans will enter the track through the Gate 39A tunnel entrance off Highway 151. To participate in Track Laps for Charity, fans must abide by the following rules and restrictions:

• All drivers must be 18 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Driver and passengers will sign both waivers as they are submitted to Track Personnel. Signatures must be witnessed by Track Personnel.
• All participants must adhere to South Carolina state laws regarding the usage of seat belts and child safety restraints.
• Passenger vehicles only; motorcycles are not permitted.
• Maximum speed is 70 miles per hour and regulated by Darlington Raceway personnel.
• Passing other vehicles on the track is not permitted. Violators will be removed from the track.
• Drivers must stay up to speed and refrain from lagging behind in order to speed up. Violators will be removed from the track.
• Track Laps for Charity may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather or safety conditions. If a cancellation is necessary, Darlington Raceway will make its best effort to contact guests in advance of their visit.
