Darlington man faces sex charges

The Darlington Police Department has charged a Darlington man with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, third degree, the department said in a statement.
Kelvin Shanard Charles, 44, was arrested for allegedly touching a female juvenile inappropriately between April 2020 and November 2021, the department said. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
Jail records show that Charles was booked into the county jail Feb. 17 and released on $7,500 bond the same day.
