Darlington man charged with arson and attempted murder

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andrew Delone Brown, a 37-year-old male of Darlington, on April 15, 2016 after he tried over a period of three weeks to set a neighbor’s house on fire.
On April 15, 2016, Darlington County Fire District responded to a house fire at Brown’s neighbor’s residence. According to Sheriff Byrd, investigators were able to collect video evidence of the suspect from the scene. An arrest and search warrant was served at Brown’s residence on April 15, 2016. After a brief struggle with the suspect, deputies were able to take Brown into custody.
Brown was arrested and charged with three counts of arson third degree and six counts of attempted murder.
