Darlington County Council recognizes National Police Week

Members of Darlington City Council recently expressed their appreciation for local law enforcement by presenting a plaque to Public Safety Director Kelvin Washington and members of the Darlington Police Department. “We just wanted to show how thankful we are for the work that Chief Washington and his officers do every day to help keep our city safe,” said Mayor Gloria Hines, who was joined by councilwomen Sheila Baccus and Elaine Reed. “This means a lot to us, knowing that the department has the support of our council,” said Washington.

National Police Week was May 12-18.
