Community Health Fair
A community health fair co-sponsored by Darlington County First Steps and CareSouth was held Friday, June 1 at Darlington County Recreation Department’s Harmon Baldwin Gym. Visitors received health, wellness, safety, education, and employment information from presenters like Florence-Darlington Technical College, Carolina Pines, Darlington Police Department, Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault, Welvista, SC Vocational Rehabilitation, and many others.
“This is an opportunity for people to learn more about all the resources that are free and available to the community, things that can improve the quality of life for everyone,” said Patricia Sullivan, Darlington County First Steps communication specialist.
Guests registered for raffle prizes, and lunch and refreshments were available from the Taco the Town food truck and an Italian ice & ice cream booth located in the parking lot.
