On Sunday, October 22, 2023, over half of the congregation at Center Baptist Church was made up of senior citizens. The church celebrated Senior Citizens Appreciation Day and awarded prizes for the most unique, creative and unusual hats, among other prizes. Mae Helen Birch, Darlington County Tax Collector is the head of the Senior Citizens Appreciation Program. She is also a very hardworking member of the Center Baptist Church.
