Winter Summit
The Winter Summit for the Woman’s Pee Dee District Department of the Pee Dee Baptist Association will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2016 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 301 East Church Street, Mullins, SC 29574. Reverend Jeremy Bethea is the pastor and Ms. Patricia Phillips is missionary president. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. and the session begins at 10:00 a.m.
31st Annual MLK, Jr. Memorial Celebration
The 31st Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Celebration will be held on Monday, January 16th at 12 o’clock noon at First Baptist Church Darlington, 2016 South Main Street, Darlington. The event is sponsored by the Darlington County Cultural Realism Complex, Inc., First Baptist Church Darlington, Darlington Ministerial Alliance, and with the support of many churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals. The theme of event is “World Unity, Peace, Hope, Love and Understanding.” Dr. Brian Sherwood, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Darlington will be the keynote speaker. Women of Worth Meeting
Women of Worth, the ladies ministry of Great Commission Ministries in Darlington, invites all ladies to attend their monthly meeting. The January meeting will be held on January 21st at 10 a.m. at the church, which is located at the corner of Wire Road and Billy Farrow Hwy. There will be light refreshments, fellowship and a devotion. The program this month will feature local singers, “Burning Bridges”. All women are invited to attend.
The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.
