Teal, a resident of Hartsville for most of her life, has extensive experience in administrative support roles. She most recently served as an administrative assistant to the director of the Florence-Darlington Technical College’s Hartsville site. “Since February we had been looking for the right person to fill this position. We wanted someone with knowledge of Hartsville, someone who had relationships with key stakeholders, and someone who could effectively support our members and the public. Risha fulfills all three of those requirements and I am delighted she has chosen to join us,” remarked president Quinetta Buterbaugh.

Outside of her professional life, Teal and her husband Rob have raised over half a million dollars for Bayler’s Prayers Endowment. The endowment is a foundation created in memory of their son who passed away from neuroblastoma in 2010 that benefits the pediatric hematology, oncology, and blood disorder department of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. In the fall of 2015, the Teals hosted the first-ever Bayler Ball travel baseball tournament in Hartsville and plan to host another in the fall of 2016. The Teals have two children, Bridges and Piper.

The Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based business advocacy organization founded in 1910. The Chamber provides a voice for local businesses, supports economic development, and promotes the vibrant and personal community that makes Hartsville appealing to businesses and residents.
