Brian Kelley named new President and CEO

Brian Kelley has been named the new President and CEO of Pee Dee Electric Cooperative. This announcement comes from the Pee Dee Electric Board of Trustees. Kelley succeeds President and CEO, E. LeRoy “Toy” Nettles, Jr.

“Brian’s experience has prepared him well for this role and provides a solid foundation for the continued growth and success of Pee Dee Electric,” says Board Chairman James A. Goodson of Darlington, South Carolina. “We look forward to the experience and energy Brian will bring to the table and the continued success of the cooperative going forward.”

Kelley has been at PDEC since 2002, most recently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer, Vice President of Marketing, and Vice President of Member Service. Prior to joining Pee Dee, he worked for Sonoco Products Company, a global packaging company.

A graduate of Francis Marion University with a double major in Economics and Political Science, he has completed the NRECA, Robert I Kabat, Management Program as well as the NRECA and CFC, Cooperative Financial Professional Certificate.
