On Wednesday, Sept. 7, Darlington Raceway hosted the 2022 Grassroots Tour, presented by South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, other local chambers and Sonoco Products Company.
The SC Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Grassroots Tour is an important part of developing the business community’s aggressive competitiveness agenda which is released each year prior to the legislative session. Kerry Tharp, President of Darlington Raceway, welcomed everyone to the event and described the success of the recent Cookout Southern 500. Among the speakers were Murphy Monk, President of the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce and Roger Schrum of Sonoco Products Company. Bob Morgan, President & CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, held an issues-related discussion and included the audience during an interactive questionnaire.
