Deadly shooting in Hartsville

A shooting has claimed the life of a Hartsville man. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM on September 19, 2018 on Bell Avenue in the Hartsville city limits. Deshaun Owens, 18, of Hartsville was pronounced dead at the scene by Darlington County Coroner J Todd Hardee. An autopsy will be scheduled. This incident remains under investigation by the Darlington County Coroners Office and City of Hartsville Police Department.
