Women’s team ranks 3rd in USTA National Tournament
The Smiling Seniors from the Mt. Pleasant Recreation League came in 3rd in the USTA National Tournament held in Surprise, Arizona, October 23-25. The team finished their local season with a 10-2 record, came in first in the State with a 5-0 record, then won Sectionals in Asheville, N.C. with a 5-0 record. With the change of the calendar, the legendary Darlington Dragway has changed ownership. New owners Russell and Dee Dee Miller assumed operations of the historic track on December 1st.
