School district forgives last of the ‘inclement weather days’
The Darlington County Board of Education forgave the last of the “inclement weather days” at its meeting last week.
Over the 2018-19 school year, DCSD students missed seven school days because of Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Florence. The board had already designated six make-up days but left the seventh day unassigned until now.
Last Monday, the board forgave the seventh missed day. The last day for students will be June 7.
Employees were scheduled to work Saturday, June 8, to make up missed professional development days. The board also decided to forgive that day as well.
