Elloeen Davis Ward, age 92, of Darlington peacefully passed away in Columbia, S.C. on November 12, 2015.A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015, in Grove Hill Cemetery, Darlington, S.C. directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ward was born in Darlington March 20, 1923 to the late Elizabeth Smith Davis and Robert Wright Davis. She was a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Winiston J. Rogers Bible Sunday School Class in Darlington.

She is survived by her children: Dr. John Robert Ward (Cyndy) of Sandersville, GA; William Jay Ward (Ann) of Aiken, S.C.; and Katherine Ward Keckeisen (Tom) of Columbia, S.C.; her six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister Roberta (Bertie) Davis Mixon of Snellville, GA; a special aunt, Carol Hagler Davis of Darlington; several nieces and nephews; and several lifelong friends.

Elloeen was preceded in death by her husband, John Jay Ward of Darlington; and brother, George Burham Davis of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.

The family would like to thank and extend their gratitude to the caregivers at Generations of Irmo, All Seasons Medical Associates, and All Seasons Hospice for the loving and exceptional care they provided for Mrs. Ward.
