Wynnette McFaddin Fraser died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House. A memorial service took place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 in Darlington Presbyterian Church. The family received friends following the service at the church. A private burial will be held in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Wynnette Fraser
Born March 7, 1925 in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wheeler McFaddin and the late Bessie Higgins McFaddin. Mrs. Fraser was a graduate of Brevard Junior College and then worked for the Department of Social Services as a social worker until her retirement. After that, she became an author, publishing four Christian fiction children’s books and two bio-fiction books. She was a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fraser McRee of Greenville, S.C.; two sons, Ladson Lawrence “Larry” (Brenda) Fraser of High Point, N.C. and Douglas Edward “Doug” Fraser of Florence; grandchildren: Scott (Krista Addis) McRee, Matthew McRee, Bryan (Katheryn) Fraser, and Casey (Christopher) F. Nelson; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Mathias and Hawk Nelson, Adalyne, Hunter Vye, Ladson Lawrence, and Virginia May Fraser; and a beloved canine companion, Miss Elly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ladson Lawrence Fraser, Sr.; a daughter, Beth Fraser; her brother, Joe R. McFaddin; and a son-in-law, David Herbert McRee.

Graveside services for Mr. Marion Coe, III of Darlington, S.C. were conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc.
Marion, the son of Mrs. Annie Lee Coe and the late Mr. Marion Coe, Jr. was born February 20, 1959 in Darlington, S.C.



Marion Coe
He departed this life on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Marion was a member of Bethel A.M.E. church and served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Mayo High School Class of 1977 and attended Fayetteville State University. He also received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Florence-Darlington Technical College.
Survivors are: his mother, Mrs. Annie Lee Coe; three sons, Marion Coe, IV, Braxton Rogers, and Dontavius Hughes; one brother, Earl Sterlyn (Linda) Coe; two sisters, Dr. Cynthia A. Coe and Vera I. Coe; a brother-in-law, Julius Alston; a niece, several nephews, and grandnieces; two aunts, Eloise Coe and Willa Coe;and other relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at the residence, 400 Hickory Street, Darlington.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Elvie J. Davis, Jr. of New Jersey, formerly of Timmonsville, were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Timmonsville directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc. of Darlington.
Mr. Elvie Davis Jr. was born on June 13, 1937, the son of the late Elvie and Amanda Davis in Timmonsville, South Carolina. He departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2016.
Elvie received his formal education in the Timmonsville public schools. He was united in marriage to the late Annie Ruth Brown Davis.
Elvie moved to Newark, New Jersey,where he was employed by Cytec Industries for many years.
Survivors are: his son, Elvie Davis III; three sisters, Mrs. Madeline D. Morris, Janie M. Jordan-Thomas, and Gwendolyn (Moses) Staten; two brothers, Mr. Johnny Davis, Sr. and Mr. Matthew (Queenie) Davis; two special caretakers, Christine Brown and Ralph Tolliver; as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
George L. Hudson, age 84, went to be with his Heavenly Father Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Services were held at Lamar First Baptist Church at 5:00 p.m. Friday July 8th, followed by burial at Lamar Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. Visitation was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Andrews, 4128 Oates Hwy Lamar after the burial and at times prior to the services.
Born September 22, 1931, George was the son of the late Luther and Inez Hudson. He grew up in the Quietude Community outside of Lamar. George was a dedicated member of Lamar First Baptist Church, having served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and Sunday School Superintendent. He was musically talented and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, organ, and piano at church. George was retired from the South Carolina National Guard and DuPont in Camden. Mr. Hudson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Prior to his illness he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, and watching The Gamecocks play football.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara Weaver Hudson of the home; a son, Bryan (Lisa) Hudson of Fort Valley, Georgia; a daughter, Stacia (David) Andrews of Lamar; grandchildren: Holly Cummings, Jared Hudson, Kayla Hudson, Abby Yarborough, Luke Yarborough, Trey Andrews, and Raegan Andrews; and one great – grandchild, Audrey Marie Hudson. He was preceded in death by three sisters, and one brother.

Virginia Ann Lee Eastman, age 50, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10th at Freedom Baptist Church in Darlington directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends following the service and other times at 135 Jewel Dr. in Darlington.
Born June 19, 1966, in Montgomery, Maryland, Virginia was the daughter of Mary Helen Sellers Lee, and the late Russell Eugene Driggers. She worked as a nurse’s aide and in textile factories. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Darlington.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Robert Eastman; her son, Owen Peyton Witt of Tennessee; her mother, Mary Helen Sellers Lee, and her step-father, Everette Lee, Jr. of North Carolina; her aunts, Ruth MacArthur of Darlington and Dianne Floyd of Bennettsville; her mother-in-law, Mary (Frank) Eastman of Darlington; her brother-in-law, Jesse Eastman; her sister-in-law, Shelene (Ronnie) Smith of Darlington; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Franklin Lambert, Sr., age 79 passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. A graveside service was held 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 11th at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born November 27, 1936, Richard was the son of the late Harry Lee Lambert and Addie Mae Flowers Lambert. Richard served in the Army National Guard for many years. He also drove trucks for Central and Akers Motor Lines, and then for worked for Manheim for twelve years. Richard loved any type of NASCAR and was the founding member of The Windy Hill Fire Department. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Darlington.
Surviving are his wife, Yvonne Oliver Lambert; his daughter, Teresa L. (Ron) Lee, and his son, Richie (Mar-C) Lambert; his grandchildren, Ryan Lee and Gracie Lambert; and his brother, Harry (Anne) Lambert, all of Darlington.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Hodge; his brother, Toby Lambert; and his sister, Barbara Ann Hunt.

Maurice A. Pipkin, age 75 passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Wednesday, July 13th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Darlington, SC, Maurice was the son of the late Coke Joseph Pipkin and Lucille Segars Pipkin. Maurice served in the U.S. Air Force as an aviation mechanic for eight years and with the NC Air National Guard as a flight engineer for three years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for fifty years and a lifetime member of the VFW. Maurice retired from the Florence DuPont plant after over 32 years.
Surviving are his wife, Jane “Janie” Pipkin; his children, Bryan (Jasmine) Pipkin of Darlington, Chris Vardaman of Selma, AL, Phil (Jackie) Tomberlin, and Terri (Wen) Tomberlin-Falana of Darlington; seven grandchildren; his brothers, Chesley Coke Pipkin of Darlington, and Wayne Marshall (Peggy) Pipkin of Florence. Also special friends, Ed James, Bill Foster, James Branham, Jimmy Dudley, Buddy Brown, and Zim Brooks who have always been willing to help with any repairs.
Maurice was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Henry Pipkin, John E. Pipkin, and his sister, DeEtte Blackman.
