Billy Swink

Belk Funeral Home – William “Billy” Swink, age 86, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Kauai, Hawaii. A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21st in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends following the service.

Born March 31, 1930, Billy is the son of the late Hermon and Grace Livingston Swink. He served in the Army National Guard for 15 years, and he owned Swink’s Used Cars. Billy was an avid fisherman and enjoyed restoring antique cars, and extensive traveling throughout the U.S. with his wife. He was a member of the Omar Imps Shriners, and was a member of Grand Strand Community Church in Surfside Beach.

Surviving are his wife, Irene Hutchinson Swink; his daughter, Susan Swink; his son, William H. “Pete” (Valerie) Swink, Jr., all of Kauai, Hawaii; his grandchildren, Michal (Mac) Sesit McCarley, Curtis McCarley, Dane (Katie) Sesit, Aaron (Kara) Swink, Anna Swink (John) Roberts, and Andrew Swink. Also surviving are his brothers, Robert “Bobby” Swink of Darlington, James C. “Jimmy” (Mary Karl) Swink of Tyler, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
