Belk Funeral Home – Bobbie Jean Weatherford Drew Langston, age 80, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. Funeral services were held 11a.m. Saturday, January 28th at First Baptist Church in Darlington; burial followed in Darlington Memory Gardens, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born May 19, 1936, Bobbie was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Mae Stokes Weatherford. She worked for the Darlington Police Department for many years until her retirement. Bobbie was an accomplished seamstress, a member of the Pilot Club, The Good Time Band, and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Darlington.
Surviving are her children, Melanie (Wayne) Hale of New Castle, Delaware; Christie (Mark) Happ, and Timmy Drew, both of Darlington; her grandchildren, Candice (P.J.) Puccio, Hayden and Hunter Happ; her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Aubrey Puccio. Also surviving is her beloved niece, Kay (Richard) Weatherford Cranford of Leland, North Carolina, as well as her step-children, Janet (Frank) Wooten of Wagner, South Carolina, and John (Stacy) Langston of Boone, North Carolina; her step-grandchildren, Emily Hale Auty, Amanda, Hope, and Spencer Langston; her step-great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Megan, and Olivia Auty. Dear to her heart are countless other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Charles Hagood Drew; her second husband, Christy “Chris” Langston; her brothers, James Weatherford, and twins, Jackie and Jakie Weatherford.
The family received friends from 6-8p.m. Friday, January 27th at the funeral home.

Belk Funeral Home – Robert “Robbie” Earl Benson, age 47, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. today in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service.
Born November 29, 1969 in Silsbee, Texas, Robbie is the son of Debbie Thomas Benson, and the late James Earl Benson. He served in the U.S. Navy, and then worked in construction for many years. While living in Florida, Robbie enjoyed working on electronics.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Debbie Thomas Benson, is his son, Thomas Seth Benson of Loris, SC; his brothers, Ricky (Michelle) Benson of Timmonsville, James Collier, and Ronald Collier; his sisters, Shelly Burns and Angie Collier; his step-mother, Peggy Benson, all of Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Ricky and Michelle Benson, 1325 Holly Hill Rd. Timmonsville, SC 29161.
