Belk Funeral Home – Danny M. Ingram, Sr., age 66, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Annapolis, Maryland. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born November 5, 1950, Danny was the son of the late James Ingram and Thelma Carnes Ingram. He was a graduate of St. John’s High School in 1971, and then worked as a butcher for IGA in Timmonsville. Danny was associated with the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his daughters, Nikki (Richard) Spraque, Rebecca Parnell, both of Florence, and Sara (James) Presnell of Darlington; his son, Danny (Alice) Ingram, Jr. of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Bobby, Caroline, Janie, Richard, Jr., Levi, Chase, Tristen, Kinley; a special cousin, Mike (Lorie) Sullivan of Florence. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Ingram, Jr.

Belk Funeral Home – Judy Dianne Logan, age 60, affectionately known as” Giggy or Girlie” died Monday, March 27th at her residence. A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 at the chapel of Belk Funeral Home.
Born in Darlington on May 25, 1956, she is the daughter of the late Donald Eugene Logan and the late Nettie Craft Logan. She worked in manufacturing for LEGGS in Darlington until her disability, and also worked as a bartender for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Joe) Smith and Donna Rollings (Kevin Allen Lee) and her grandchildren: Kimberley, James, Jayden, Adrian and Kalob. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Missy (Donny) Powell, her special friend, Charles Layton and dear family friends: Laura Street, Spring Rogers, Stacey Amerson and Jamie Watson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Parrott, and brothers; Franklin and Richard Logan.

Kistler Hardee Funeral Home – John Robert Heath, 68, of Darlington died on Sunday, March 26, 2017.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Odom Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at home of his daughter, Johnette Campos, 548 Potato House Road, Darlington.
John was born in Darlington, South Carolina. He was the son of the late, Robert Ander Heath and Christine Lloyd Munn. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Randal Lee “Bo Cat” Freeman (Amy), Sandra Renee “Sal Cat” Jenkins (Marshall McCutchen), Elizabeth “Bef E. Boo” Heath, Johnette Heath “Jonnetta” Campos (Timbi) and Robert “Bird Head” Heath; his grandchildren, Randy, Logan, Seth, Kassidy, Kelsey, Flor, Caden, Armando, Tatiana, Anton and Jaton; 3 great grandchildren; his sisters, Sarah Brown and Ethel “Bug” Pelt; the mother of his children, Cynthia “Old Woman” Heath; and special nieces and nephews that he took care of and thought of as his own on both sides of the family.

Williamsburg Funeral Home – Roger Dale Cox, 67, husband of Louella Hinkle Cox, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in McLeod Hospice House.
Mr. Cox was born August 30, 1949, in Kingstree, a son of the late Theron C. Cox and Ora Lee Tanner Cox. He received a Bachelor of Arts & Political Science, Cum Laude from Newberry College, a Master of Education in Secondary Administration from Winthrop College and a Master of Divinity in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dale taught school for Lancaster City Schools, North Myrtle Beach Christian School, School District of Greenville County and Williamsburg County School, he was also a previous headmaster at Andrews Christian School. He was the Pastor of several churches in Georgia, Texas and Virginia and was an Associate Pastor at Bethea Baptist Church until 2010. He was also licensed and pastored in the Wesleyan Church. During his time at Bethea he served as activities director and choir director for Bethea Singers. Dale was a member of Bethea Baptist Church and was a member of the South Carolina Baptist Singing Churchmen.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Louella, are: his son, Jonathan Conrad Cox, of Darlington; brother, Bryan L. (Elizabeth) Cox, of Murrell’s Inlet; sister-in-law, Bette Cox, of Florence, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Cox and a special nephew, T.C. Cox.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial in Bethesda Cemetery, Cades. The family received friends from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Friday before the service at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Belk Funeral Home – Joe L. Byrd, age 78, died Tuesday, March 28th in a local hospital. A funeral service will was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1st in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Darlington Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
Born in Darlington on February 6, 1939, Joe is the son of the late Robert L. “R.L.” Byrd and the late Madge Martin Byrd. Mr. Byrd worked as an electrician for NUCOR for over 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially watching his great-grandson play ball. Mr. Byrd was a Mason, a Shriner and past member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Larry Byrd of Darlington, two grandchildren, Maggie Wheeler and Daniel Byrd, a great-grandson, Michael Wheeler, a sister, Nell Gable, a brother, Douglas Martin (Martha) Byrd, Sr., all of Darlington, a special friend, Pinky Jordan and a special niece, Susie Williams.
He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian B. Byrd, brothers Frank, Fred and George Byrd; and his sisters, Gussie Moore and Kathryn Ward.
