Volunteers remove 300 pounds of trash during recent clean up Williamson Park

Saturday, April 2nd, a large group of volunteers gathered to clean up trash littering Williamson Park in Darlington. The group of volunteers consisted of students from the High school early college program, Bible Church, Girl Scout Troop 423, and a few local families. The Park cleanup began at 8:30 in the morning and went on to noon. After the event, Ole South Brands contributed its famous chicken bog for all the volunteers. Al Britt, the Williamson Park Manager said “It was a terrific outcome, and we had the absolute right people to show up. I cannot thank them enough!”
