Traffic Stop Yields Drugs and Gun
On June 4 at 10:30 a.m., Darlington County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies on routine patrol on E. Carolina Ave. in the Hartsville area initiated a stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, Deputies recovered 104 grams of marijuana, 85 Hydrocodone pills and a loaded .40 caliber pistol.
McKenzie Michael Stevens, 19, of Hartsville and De’Antre Lamont Cooks, 19, of Hartsville are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, schedule two, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
