Members of the St. John’s High School Class of 1970, after a two year Covid delay, celebrated their 50th year class reunion on April 22 and 23 in Darlington. Classmates were able to “warm-up” for the reunion on a perfect Friday evening at Roseanne Wilson Bodenhamer’s beautiful home and grounds. The main event was held Saturday evening at the Darlington Country Club. Good food, fellowship, and music were enjoyed by all at this wonderful venue. DJ Carlyle Griggs spun the vinyl from the late 60’s and early 70’s. A memorabilia room and slide show reminded us of how we were back in the day and how much we had changed. A Memorial Picture Display of our deceased classmates was a labor of love and a tribute to them. This display allowed them to join with us in such an emotional and special way. Most of our classmates are or will turn 70 years old this year. While we were not as energetic, flexible, and mobile as we were in 1970, we gave it our best effort!
