Search reveals stolen gun and drugs

Two Hartsville men have been arrested after the execution of a search warrant at a residence June 20 on Wetlands Drive.

“Investigators … were able to secure a search warrant for the residence,” said Darlington County Sheriff Tony Chavis. “Investigators located a stolen firearm, approximately 2.8 ounces of methamphetamine, approximately 1.8 ounces of marijuana, approximately 58 narcotic pills, ammunition, weight scales, currency and various drug paraphernalia.”

Sheriff’s investigators with the Drug Enforcement Unit and deputies assigned to the Special Incident Response Team arrested Jaquez Davion Blue, 19, of Hartsville, and Geonquaze Tyonee Woods, 21, of Hartsville, at the residence.

Blue is charged with possession of a stolen firearm and simple possession of marijuana. Woods is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV narcotics and possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics.
