Ray joins DHS as an assistant principal

Darlington High School welcomes Roderick Ray as an Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year, the school has announced on its Facebook page.
Ray is a nine-year educational veteran with a passion for student growth and teacher success. Throughout his time as an educator, Ray has served as classroom educator, led school committees, served as an S.C. GSSM instructor, and most recently district instructional technology team.
Ray earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Francis Marion University, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Concordia University and an Educational Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University.
Outside of school, Ray enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and two children.
One of his favorite quotes is “Technology can bring the real world into the classroom, which means that as teachers we can better prepare kids for the exciting adventures that they will face in their future.” – Dan Roberts.
