Owens- Dickerson Wedding

Miss Macey Deanna Owens of Pleasant Hill, S.C. and Mr. Julian “Rhodes” Dickerson, III of Darlington, S.C. were married at five o’clock in the afternoon, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hemmingway S.C. The Reverend James A. Herring officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill F. Owens of Pleasant Hill, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jackie M. Harrelson of Pleasant Hill, S.C. and the late Mr. Charles E. Harrelson and the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Odis Owens. She is a graduate of Carver Bay High School in Hemingway, S.C. and Francis Marion University. Macey is a first-grade teacher at Johnsonville Elementary School.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian R. Dickerson, Jr. of Darlington, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Joyce B. Dickerson of Darlington, S.C. and the late Julian R. Dickerson. He is also the grandson of Mr. Earl B. Wilson Jr. of Darlington, S.C., the late Mrs. Sara W. Wilson, the late Clyde C. Welch, and the late Addie B. Welch. He is a graduate of Mayo High School for Math, Science, and Technology in Darlington, S.C. and Coastal Carolina University. Rhodes is a physical education teacher at Dewey L. Carter Elementary School in Florence, S.C. and the head Coach for the South Florence Bruins Baseball Program. He is also an assistant Coach for the South Florence Bruins Varsity Baseball Program and for American Legion, Florence Post 1 Baseball Program.

Miss Tyler Olivia Owens, cousin of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. The bride’s Attendants were Miss Connor Leiann Harrelson, cousin of the bride, Miss Jamie Victoria Norwood, cousin of the groom, Miss Lindsay Caroline Marsh, Mrs. Rachel Rushing Steele, Miss Claire Olivia LeGette, Mrs. Scottie Stone Moore, Mrs. Whitney Baxley Smith, and Mrs. Brooke Hilburn Tanner, all friends of the bride.

Miss Juliana Rayne Owens, cousin of the bride, served as the Miniature Bride.

Flower girl was Miss Audrey Victoria Monteith and Ring Bearer was Master Trey Lewis Halm, both cousins of the bride.

Honorary Attendants were Miss Julia Anne Cribb, Miss Katie Marie Lewis, Miss Michaela Hope Dennis and Miss Meghan Heather Dennis, all cousins of the bride.

Mr. Julian R. Dickerson, Jr., father of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Bryant Welch Dickerson, brother of the groom, Mr. James Coleman Norwood And Mr. Brian Chase Wilson, cousins of the groom, Mr. Zachary James Owens and Mr. Christian Cru Odis Owens, cousin of the bride, Mr. Jordan Adrian Cox, Mr. Cameron Andrew McRae, and Mr. Brian Douglas Davis, All friends of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Mrs. Pam Hyatt Miles and soloists Mr. Chris Edwards and Mrs. Kelly Douglas Owens.

A reception followed at the Periwinkle Pavilion in Johnsonville, S.C.

After a Honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico the couple will reside in Hemingway, S.C.
