Man arrested locally to be deported by ICE
Silvano Maldonado-Estrada.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Silvano Maldonado-Estrada on January 20, 2025. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Maldonado-Estrada was an illegal immigrant. As a result, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted, and a detainer was placed on him.
On March 21, 2025, Silvano Maldonado-Estrada plead guilty to Assault and Battery 1st Degree.
On March 22, 2025, Maldonado-Estrada was released into the custody of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at 10:08am to be deported.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office will assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to deport any illegal immigrant, committing crimes in our county and we will honor all detainers from our federal partners.
