Local man accused of 2 house break-ins
A man was being held on two counts of first-degree burglary after authorities said he broke into two homes in Darlington County and finally was restrained by the residents of one home.
In addition to the burglary charges, the suspect, Jonathan Blakney, is charged with possession of a weapon during a crime, according to county jail records.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called early in the morning of March 6 to Age Old Road outside Hartsville. A suspect apparently was being held by the residents of a home he’d broken into.
