LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Groups grateful for support during Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
Darlington Mayor Curtis Boyd signed a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month in Darlington at the Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month Brunch sponsored by Macedonia Life-Skills Center and Genesis Community Foundation on April 2 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Community nonprofit organizations shared information on how to obtain free items and services such as medicine, healthcare, transportation, food, clothes, diapers, utilities and rent assistance, home and roof repairs, household items and appliances, furniture, after-school tutoring and mentoring, summer feeding and enrichment programs, childcare, teen summer employment, youth leadership programs, grant writing, how to start a nonprofit, fundraising, budgeting, finance, investing, CPR training, etc.
