Law enforcement trio halts armed robbery
A downtown Darlington armed robbery at 102 Pearl Street in the early hours of May 26 was thwarted, thanks to a joint effort between the Darlington Police Department, Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Joseph Elmore, 35, of 245 Kingston Drive, Darlington, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery With a Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
This kind of teamwork and willingness to work together is exactly what keeps our streets safe.” said Darlington Police Chief Danny Watson.
No injuries were reported.
