Latta man wins car show
Carl Edwards of Latta took home the top prize June 15 in the annual Joe’s Grill car show.
Edwards won “best in show” with his harbor-blue 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door.
He led the competition over 72 other cars.
Now in its 27th year, the cruise-in has become a car-show favorite in the Pee Dee.
The show is presented by the Darlington Cruisers and sponsored by Johnny Bell Automotive, RTG-Race Technology Group and is held at Joe’s Grill in Darlington. The restaurant is now operated by Harriet Bonnoitt and Olivia Ridgill.
