Larry Hammond files to run in SC 7th Congressional District
A resident of Horry County since 1995, Larry moved his family to Myrtle Beach to invest himself completely as a local business owner. A native of Cincinnati, he’s lived in five states, and traveled this entire nation and parts of Canada in a motorhome over the past few years. He has been a personal witness to many states’ and cities’ successes, as well as their most glaring failures.
He concluded that, “South Carolina has the potential to be so much better than it is today. Did you know that SC per capita income is ranked the 45th worst state in America? That we’re the 48th worst in employment opportunities and education? Our infrastructure is failing, crime is increasing, medical costs are exploding, and health care is a mess. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”
He believes that incumbent, long-term politicians have developed an apathy for the needs of common folks; but that newcomers will feel the urgent need to get the job done. It’s time to vote new blood into a stalled system. He believes this so strongly that he paid the $3,480 “Privilage” filing fee from his retirement account.
“It’s time for South Carolina to RE-BOOT, BOOT ‘em OUT!”
Hammond prepared a website which details his views and positions on many important issues facing our State as well as our Nation. He hopes that you will take the time to go to www.larryguyhammond.com
