Hartsville man accused of burglary, domestic violence

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says it has charged a Hartsville man with burglary, domestic violence and unlawful communication in connection with a series of incidents.
Nicholas Vaughn Hodges, 22, was arrested by SLED agents after the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office asked SLED to investigate the case. Warrants state that “on or about” June 29, Hodges entered a dwelling without permission by using a “financial transaction card” to unlock a door.
Warrants also allege that Hodges threatened the victim both in person and by phone, telling her at one point, “I wanna slam your head into the counter and watch your teeth go down your throat.” SLED’s news release did not say why the DCSO asked the agency to handle the case.
