Harris makes Hartsville campaign stop

From Staff Reports

Kamala Harris, a rising star in the field of Democratic presidential candidates, made a campaign stop in Darlington County over the weekend.

Harris, a U.S. senator from California, stopped at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 301 South Sixth St., in Hartsville on Sunday.

From there, she made another stop in Florence. On Monday, she had been scheduled to appear in Myrtle Beach.

Harris’ performance in a late-June Democratic debate has recently made her a favorite on cable news, and her poll rankings have surged.
