GSSM Summer STEM Camp applications open

The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is now accepting applications for its 2026 GoSciTech Summer Camps, offering hands-on STEM experiences for students across South Carolina. Day camps will be hosted at 16 technical college campuses statewide, expanding access to STEM learning in communities from Rock Hill to Beaufort.

Designed for rising sixth- through 10th-grade students, GoSciTech includes residential, day and virtual options.

Together, these locations allow students across South Carolina to participate in advanced STEM learning close to home.  

Each program features collaborative projects, lab experiments, and real-world STEM challenges led by STEM experts.

“The GSSM Outreach Center team has developed a strong lineup of STEM camps for summer 2026 designed to help students explore subjects that spark their curiosity,” said Randy LaCross, vice president of outreach at GSSM. “These experiences challenge students, build confidence and connect them with peers across the state who share their interest in STEM.”

Financial aid is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and families are encouraged to apply early as camps often fill quickly.

Applications open: March 2, 2026

Early bird discount deadline: April 15, 2026

Priority application deadline: May 15, 2026

Acceptance after May 15 will be on a space-available basis
