FDTC’s Upward Bound Program begins summer session

Florence-Darlington Technical College’s federally funded Upward Bound Program recently began its summer session for area high school students. Upward Bound helps assist high school students develop the skills and overall confidence needed to succeed in a two-year or four-year institution. Students from public high schools in Darlington, Florence and Marion counties began the academic portion of Upward Bound in January. During the summer, students spend four days a week at FDTC with teachers in academic areas of mathematics, science, foreign language and reading and writing. The summer session at FDTC will last for four weeks.
