Darlington shooting investigation
Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently investigating a shooting that occurred around midnight August 19. An individual was discovered outside of a residence on Birdsnest Road with a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a local hospital. The extent of the individual’s injuries is unknown.
Sheriff Chavis announced the arrest of Maurice Antwon McTillman, 33, of Hartsville. McTillman is charged with one count of attempted murder. McTillman appeared before a Darlington County Magistrate and received a $25,000 bond. The case remains under investigation.
