Darlington First Church of God to offer GriefShare beginning September 5
First Church of God is excited to host this new small group opportunity for those who are struggling with the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. This 13-week study will begin on Wednesday, September 5th and will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. The meetings will take place at the church located at 620 North Main Street, Darlington, SC.
GriefShare is a globally recognized ministry of Church Initiative. The program is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your grief. In the 13-week study, participants will view an encouraging, information-packed video seminar featuring leading grief recovery experts. This will be followed by small group discussion about the weekly video content along with journaling and personal study exercises that reinforce the weekly session topics. The class will be facilitated by Aimee Knight who is a Licensed Professional Counselor (MS, LPC). There is no charge to attend this class but a workbook can be purchased for $15.
