City of Hartsville hires Neptune Island Waterpark GM
The City of Hartsville is excited to announce the hiring of a General Manager for the Neptune Island Waterpark.
Juan Encarnacion is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico residing there until 2000, when he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. In March of 2018 he has again embarked on a cross-country move, this time to Hartsville as General Manager of the multi-million dollar expansion project, Neptune Island Waterpark. Neptune Island is expected to open for the summer 2018 season.
In Las Vegas, Encarnacion most recently served as the Senior Manager of Admissions, Revenue and Sales at Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas, a waterpark with a capacity of over seven thousand guests. Encarnacion’s experience in aquatic and other similar start-up facilities began over eight years ago.
“This project is very special to me and I am beyond excited to be part of the amazing team,” Encarnacion said. “As General Manager, I serve every single guest that comes through our front gate. Their safety, experience, and well being will always be my top priority. Neptune Island Waterpark will create over 100 new jobs, teach valuable life skills to our employees, and generate more tourism and awareness for the City of Hartsville and its residents.”
