Burch named to state-wide position
Mae Helen Burch, Tax Collector for Darlington County, was recently named the new Chaplain for TAPS, which stands for Tax Collectors of the Palmetto State.
The organization covers all 46 counties in South Carolina. According to the group’s constitution, the Chaplain ‘shall be appointed by the President of the Association and serve in that capacity until a successor shall have been appointed. The Chaplain shall be responsible for prayers and such duties as are generally required of such office.’
