Lydia store robbed at gunpoint

Darlington County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the Family Dollar on West Lydia Highway in the Lydia community. The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. Jan. 15. According to witnesses, a man entered the store brandishing a gun, with a bandana covering his face, and demanded money. No further details were available.
